MOONLIGHT MAYHEM AUTO ENTHUSIAST EVENT TO DEBUT IN ARNOLD IN MARCH
Speed and Sound and ITT Technical Institute to sponsor FREE event series kick-off on March 26

February 15, 2010 – Media Outlaws, STLSR and Perfect Sense Communication (“the group”) are proud to present Speed Culture’s Moonlight Mayhem, a series of monthly community-focused car events beginning in March and ending in November. The season will kick off at the Speed and Sound/ITT Technical Institute lot at 1915 Meyer Drury in Arnold, Missouri and offer family-friendly fun, complete with complimentary food and entertainment. The event is a more budget-friendly, family-friendly and convenient alternative to car fans and their families and friends in South St. Louis, St. Charles, Lincoln County, Franklin County and Jefferson County.

Speed Culture’s Moonlight Mayhem will feature music, burgers and brats, soda and soft drinks, booths from local online forums, a dyno competition and a late-night car cruise. Drag racers, street racers, drift racers, show and shine competitors, car audio enthusiasts and local law enforcement will come together for an evening of community-focused fun and camaraderie. Some of the hottest and fastest rides (and their owners/drivers) in the St. Louis Metropolitan area will be on display and available to answer questions. Local speed shop owners will thrill us with their current projects, as well as what they can offer the everyday automotive enthusiast. There will be a section just for vehicles for sale and other exciting exhibitions are planned. Sponsorship and booth opportunities are available. Speed Culture’s Moonlight Mayhem will also introduce other features as the season progresses: live music, DJs, a chili cook-off and other cooking competitions, dunk tank, BMX and drift racing exhibitions. Right On, a new print and online resource for the St. Louis car enthusiast, will debut at the June event.

2010 Moonlight Mayhem Schedule: March 26, April 23, May 21, June 18, July 23, Aug.20, Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Nov. 12. Future locations to be announced.

The group got together to put on Speed Culture’s Moonlight Mayhem after sensing a change in the direction of other area venues away from promotion of local activities and their participants in favor of the bottom line. “Once you forget who your customer is,” explains Matt McElwrath of Media Outlaws, “you can’t really serve their interests.” “What we – meaning St. Louis-area car fiends – really want, more than anything, is a cool place to hang out and talk about cars.” Local car clubs and online forums are a popular subculture in St. Louis and McElwrath and his partners feel that their interests are largely ignored by the larger venues. “We’re saying ‘no’ to endless lines, forced programs and higher priced Friday night car events,” says Perfect Sense Publishing executive Rob McNeece. “We want to take everything a step further and offer an event and resources that are conducive to networking with our fellow car nuts and Moonlight Mayhem is just the tip of the iceberg in accomplishing that.”

Media Outlaws is a seven-year-old media organization offering graphic and web design, event planning and promotion and comprehensive marketing strategy development. STLSR.com is in its 10th year as an internet forum for local ¼-mile drag racers, car show participants, drifters and performance automotive enthusiasts within the St. Louis metropolitan area. It currently receives 7+ million hits per month from its 6300+ registered members and guests. Speed Culture.org is a rapidly growing online social networking site for car enthusiasts with in-depth profiles, media upload and playback, interactive forums and community-friendly event planning. Perfect Sense Communication is a St. Charles-based company that specializes in community publications, events and niche marketing.

State of the disUnion

…but, but, but – even though unemployment has gone from 8% to 10% as a result of his “stimulus”, he is still clinging to the “fact” that he’s “created” 2,000,000 new jobs.

Every man, woman, and child in this country has $40,000 in debt courtesy of the US Government. Add it up. $40k. And we’ll get to freezing Government spending (on well under half of the budget, by the way – Social Security, Medica*e and servicing the debt are 51% of the budget, and nobody can do dick about that) *next year*. Sure.

“Jobs Bill”. Sounds like more welfare. I can’t believe he believes some of the shit he reads from the teleprompter in chief.

Interesting watching a sitting Supreme Court Justice mouthing “not true” at a few points during that speech.

Amazing how he still seems to think the message from the majority of US Citizens is “just chill a bit on that total overhaul and Government takeover of 1/6th of our economy…”. I’m with Sarah Palin, the message is *really* “kill that motherfucker deader than Nixon.”

Much more to come…

Tuesday’s going to be a pretty important day for the US Senate.

If you know anyone in Mass-a-two-shits, the Democraps are looking like they are about to lose Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat.  It’s worth a call to get them to the polls.  Mass-a-two-shits is overwhelmingly Democratic, as liberal as California in some regards, and the Kennedy family just leaves that seat to each other in wills I think.

Why is a relatively unknown (never run for statewide office) Republican sitting with 50% of the polled voters right now?  Healthcare.  America doesn’t want the Obama Plan.  What will the Democrats that are trying to run our lives do if a Republican wins?  Pelosi and Reed will be shoving that shit so far down our throats before the Democratic state government in Mass-a-two-shits takes a couple weeks and “certifies” the special election.  What fucking bullshit.

When politicians say “Fuck what the people want” and make back-room deals and use parliamentary maneuvering to force what could and probably will end up being the most costly piece of legislation in our country’s history – it’s not right, and those folks in Congress need to remember how they got there in the first place.

Operation Toss ‘Em All in 2012.  The previews were the VA and NJ Governorships a few months back.  It starts in earnest Tuesday in Mass-a-two-shits.
